Fractional SEO & AI Search Lead for Founder-Led B2B SaaS

Turn Google and AI search into signups without running SEO yourself.

You already believe in SEO.

I work directly with founder-led B2B SaaS companies to turn organic search into a customer-acquisition channel that no longer depends on the founder to keep it moving.

You provide the product context. I own organic growth.

SweetProcess

These weren’t traffic projects. They were customer-acquisition programs.

You shouldn’t still be the person running SEO.

Maybe you’ve hired writers.

Maybe you bought Ahrefs or Semrush, learned enough SEO to get started, and you’re already seeing some traffic.

But somehow everything still comes back to you.

You are still:

  • deciding what deserves to be published;
  • managing writers and reviewing briefs;
  • trying to understand where Google and AI search fit together;
  • wondering why more organic traffic isn’t becoming customers.

At some point, the problem stops being

“We need more content.”

It becomes

“We need someone experienced to own this.”

The role · Fractional SEO & AI Search Lead

AI made content cheap. It made judgment more valuable.

I use AI aggressively for research, briefs, analysis, internal linking, monitoring and other repeatable work.

But strategy, product understanding, prioritization, quality and accountability remain human-led.

I become the senior owner of your organic-growth function.

I don’t hand you a strategy deck and ask your team to figure out the rest. I work inside the business as your Fractional SEO & AI Search Lead and take responsibility for keeping organic growth moving.

What I own

Strategy & prioritization

What to pursue, what to stop and where we have the best chance of winning.

SEO + AI search

Build visibility across traditional search and emerging AI discovery.

Content planning

Turn commercial opportunities into clear, executable briefs.

Team & execution

Lead the writers, editors or agency resources required to ship the work.

Optimization

Improve existing assets, internal linking and conversion opportunities.

Measurement

Connect organic performance to signups, pipeline and the decisions we should make next.

You
Product expertise, customer context and business priorities.
Me
The organic-growth operation.

What actually ships

Fix what already has leverage

Refresh pages close to winning, recover declining content and improve pages getting traffic but few customers.

Create high-intent assets

Alternatives, comparisons, use cases and solution pages tied directly to buying decisions.

Run the content operation

Briefs, writers, revisions, quality control and publishing workflow.

Strengthen discovery

Internal linking, AI visibility and ongoing experimentation that help the right pages get found.

We don’t optimize for content volume.

We optimize for the work most likely to create customers.

The 30-Day Takeover

In the first 30 days, SEO comes off your plate.

  1. Days 1–7

    Understand

Product. ICP. Customers. Existing performance. Current team. Google and AI-search baseline.

OutcomeI understand the business well enough to stop giving generic SEO advice.

  2. Days 8–14

    Prioritize

Existing leverage. Buyer-intent gaps. Conversion opportunities. Competitive wedges. Work we should stop doing.

OutcomeWe know where organic investment should go first.

  3. Days 15–30

    Ship

Priority refreshes, briefs, internal linking, content production and workflow improvements start moving.

OutcomeThe strategy is being executed, not sitting in a document.

By Day 30:

  • Clear roadmap
  • Measurement baseline
  • Working execution pipeline
  • Priority initiatives moving
  • Founder no longer keeping SEO alive
What you should be able to say on Day 30“Shehu has this.”

What happens after Day 30?

Months 2 and 3 are about running the system, building momentum and determining whether the economics justify greater investment.

At Day 90, we make one of four decisions:

  • Scale
  • Continue selectively
  • Transition in-house
  • Stop

I don’t believe in keeping companies on SEO retainers indefinitely because “SEO takes time.”

You’re not hiring someone to learn SEO on your company.

On stage at Search Africon.

I’ve already run the kind of function I’m asking you to hire me to own.

I’m also the founder of Your Content Mart (opens in a new tab), where I’ve built and managed the operational side of SaaS SEO at scale.

This engagement is deliberately different:

You work directly with me.

No junior account-manager handoff.

Specialist contributors can increase execution capacity, but strategy, priorities, quality and accountability stay with me.

Agency operating experience. Direct operator access.

Maximum 3 active fractional engagements.

You shouldn’t have to manage me in order for me to manage SEO.

Expect one focused weekly working session, a deeper monthly review and async collaboration when decisions actually require you.

I come to you with what shipped, what changed, what we learned, what happens next and what I genuinely need from you.

Built around the team you actually have

Have good writers? I’ll lead them.
Already have an agency or marketer? I can work with them.
Have nobody? I can help build the lean execution layer we need.

The objective is senior ownership, not replacing people who are already doing good work.

Investment

The engagement

$3,500/month

Initial engagement: 90 days.
Then month-to-month.

Maximum 3 active fractional engagements.

Included
Direct senior ownership of strategy, SEO + AI-search prioritization, content planning, team direction, optimization, measurement and weekly execution management.
Separate where needed
Specialist production costs such as writers, design, development, major PR/link acquisition or premium third-party tools.
The first 90 days
Month 1 Take ownership. Months 2–3 Run the system and validate the opportunity. Day 90 Scale, continue selectively, transition in-house or stop.

30-Day Takeover Guarantee

By Day 30, you will have a prioritized roadmap, measurement baseline, working execution pipeline and priority initiatives moving. If those things aren’t in place, I continue working at no additional fee until they are.

Opportunity-Fit Protection

If I conclude during Month 1 that organic discovery is materially weaker as an opportunity than we reasonably expected, I’ll tell you rather than asking you to fund a weak thesis.

Traffic is a metric. Customers are the objective.

We look at product signups, demos and pipeline first, then the search and operating metrics that explain them. Every monthly review answers: what shipped, what changed, what created value, what we learned, what happens next.

No ranking guarantees. No fake revenue promises. No “we just need another six months.”

See If We’re a Fit

This isn’t for every SaaS company.

Probably not a fit if…

  • You’re still deciding whether SEO matters.
  • You haven’t reached product-market fit.
  • You need SEO to generate emergency revenue in the next 30 days.
  • You primarily want cheap writing or mass AI content.
  • $3,500/month would create financial stress for the business.

Probably worth a conversation if…

  • You already believe organic can work.
  • You’ve tried SEO or content before.
  • You have traction but lack senior ownership.
  • You’re tired of personally keeping the channel moving.
  • You want Google + AI discovery connected to customer acquisition.

Questions founders ask

Do you personally write all the content?

No. I own strategy, briefs, optimization, quality and execution management. Your existing writers can execute, or I can help assemble the lean team required.

What if we already have an agency or marketing team?

That’s fine. If they’re good, I can work with them. My role is senior ownership inside the business, not replacing every existing provider.

How quickly should we expect results?

Work starts immediately. By Day 30, the operating transformation should be clear and priority initiatives should be shipping. Search outcomes depend on existing authority, competition, demand and implementation speed. The first 90 days are designed to determine whether the channel deserves continued investment.

Can you guarantee rankings or AI recommendations?

No. Nobody credible can. I guarantee the parts I control: ownership, strategy, quality, execution cadence, measurement and operating progress.

Why not hire someone full-time?

Sometimes you should. Fractional makes sense when the business needs senior ownership before it needs 40 hours a week of senior SEO leadership. If a full-time hire later becomes the right decision, I can help transition the function in-house.

You built the company. You shouldn’t still be the person keeping SEO moving.

If organic growth matters to the business but still depends too heavily on you, let’s see whether I’m the right person to take ownership of it.

30-minute conversation.No free-audit bait.No giant proposal unless there’s a genuine fit.
